"Sabu" (さぶ) was an influential Japanese monthly magazine for the man who loves male, founded in 1974, discontinued in 2002.
Unlike "Barazoku" or any other Japanese gay magazines, "Sabu" started by having preoccupation with Japanese masculinity; tattooing, crew-cut hair, wearing fundoshi (traditional underwear), and so on.
This blog is focused on the later phase of "Sabu", the era of the beautiful covers drawn by Ben Kimura.
